Who we are
Hunter Data LLC operates Name Explorer at names.hunterdata.ai. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain information when you visit or use the service.
Information we collect
- Access and device data: IP address, date and time, requested page or API route, HTTP method and response status, browser user agent, referring page, request identifier, and response time.
- Information you submit: contact-form details, account login email used for invoices, company information, and transaction identifiers associated with a purchase.
- Service inputs: names entered for individual searches and name lists submitted for batch processing are processed to provide results. We do not intentionally write search terms, uploaded files, or batch contents into access logs.
- Browser-local account data: the current Name Explorer account feature stores registration, sign-in, and batch-history information locally in your browser. It is not a substitute for a centrally managed enterprise identity service.
How we use information
We use information to operate and secure Name Explorer, deliver requested search and append services, process and document transactions, respond to inquiries, diagnose faults, prevent abuse, understand service performance, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
What access logs do not contain
Our access logs are designed not to record request bodies, passwords, full uploaded datasets, payment-card numbers, or the names entered into query strings. Payment-card handling is performed by the payment provider and is not stored by Hunter Data.
Service providers and disclosures
We use service providers including Amazon Web Services for hosting and security logging, Resend for transactional email, and PayPal for payment processing. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the service or its users, or in connection with a corporate transaction.
Retention
CloudFront access logs and centralized application logs are retained for 90 days and then automatically deleted. Contact messages, invoices, and transaction records may be retained longer where reasonably necessary for customer service, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or legal compliance. Browser-local data remains until you clear it or remove it through your browser.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the service. No internet service is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information held by Hunter Data, subject to applicable law and legitimate retention requirements. You can clear browser-local account data through your browser settings. You may also block or limit certain browser features, although doing so can affect service functionality.
Children
Name Explorer is a business-oriented service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above identifies the latest revision.
